Secondly, we understand that you can’t solve a problem by contributing to it.
Creating more GHG in order to measure GHG or remove SO2 from exhaust is obviously counter-productive for the global population and the planet.
OUR NAME
Based on the number of scent receptors they possess, the bear has the best sense of smell of any terrestrial mammal.
They can travel 18 miles in a straight line to a food source; find an elk carcass underwater; and smell a seal through 3 feet of ice.
Arctos is the Greek word for bear and lends its name to the Earth’s Northern Pole – The Arctic. There are no Polar Bears at the Southern Pole, hence the name Antarctic.
OUR HISTORY, TELEMETRY PHILOSOPHY & GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITY
The concept of SeaARCTOS evolved from numerous industry discussions about vessel emissions needing to be monitored and addressed as a contributor to global climate change in real time; knowing that the available solutions for compliance were woefully inadequate.
Drawing on their lifelong experience in shipping, the SeaARCTOS principals brought in associates in science, chemistry, engineering and analytics. This multi-disciplined team worked in concert to bring their solution, based on hardware, software and analysis to the market. The first iteration (ARCTOS-1) was put through extensive real-world testing and refinement in order to ensure accuracy, reliability and integrity of the SeaARCTOS system.
By embracing new developments in technology and telemetry and accepting that we all share a global responsibility to do what we can to fight climate change and ensure a cleaner and more habitable planet for all, SeaARCTOS is proud to launch their solution to streamline ship operations and reduce global emissions from shipping and associated operations.
