- Dean Kamen, DEKA “When the currently available solutions are labor intensive, time consuming and costly, we’ve got to find a totally new approach – Global organizations work on top-down government to government centralized solutions. A twenty-first century problem needs a twenty-first century solution, a point-of-use, bottom-up response.”

We Work on Waste

The ARCTOS-1 generates all its energy by harvesting and recycling waste energy emitted from a vessel’s  stack.

Actual, Not Assumed

By sitting on the top of the vessel’s stack and regularly sampling the actual exhaust we monitor levels of CO2, CH4 and SO2 in the exhaust.

Zero Carbon, Zero Maintenance & Zero Communication Charges

The ARCTOS-1 transmits emission data over a dedicated secure satcom system outside of the vessels. Meaning that it does not piggy back on the vessel communications system, incurring further costs for the vessel owner.

There are no user serviceable parts in the device, so no need to train vessel staff or task them with maintaining the ARCTOS-1.

1 Hour Install

It takes about 1 hour for untrained ship crew to install an ARCTOS-1 sensor on a vessel’s stack, including reading the instructions and watching instructional video.

The ARCTOS-1 needs no welding, no cutting and no power or comms lines. It also doesn’t require the vessel to be in dry-dock or off hire, nor for a team of outside “experts” to attend a lengthy install.

ARCTOS-1

The ARCTOS-1 is a revolutionary dedicated sensor that’s affixed to the top of a vessel’s exhaust stack and independently monitors CO2, CH4 and SO2 exhaust levels.

ARCTOS-1’s accurate, real-time analysis enables ship owners, managers, charterers, financiers and others to understand at anytime, anywhere in the world their vessel emissions and whether their vessels have successfully switched fuels and lowered SO2 emissions prior to entering and switched back after exiting (S)ECA Zones.
